The Honua Kai Resort, on Ka'anapali Beach Maui, is the newest resort on Maui in the past 23 years!  The resort is a condo-hotel which means that each condo (villa) is owned by someone and that when the owner doesn't use the villa it is put into a rental pool.  The Honua Kai has studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom villas ready to rent on Ka'anapali beach - not 25+ year old hotel rooms.

Each villa has a FULL kitchen with granite counter tops and full kitchens with full sized refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers; all major appliances are made by Bosch.  Additionally, each villa has a washer/dryer which is really nice since the average vacation on Maui is 9 days.  One wall of the villa is an accordion-style folding glass sliding door which opens to views of the ocean, resort, or mountains.

There are two buildings and homes that make up the Honua Kai resort.  One building opened in January of 2009 and the other will open in 2010.  Each building has 300 villas which will dramatically increase the number of 5-star villas on Ka'anapali Beach.  Reviews from folks who have stayed at the Honua Kai are flowing in and they are spectacular.

The Honua Kai is right in the middle of all activities that take place in the northern part of Maui.
